                            SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN   

                    The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a massive movement that seeks to create a clean India.Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi's heart.Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi exhorted people to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi's vision of clean India.A clean India is a best tribute we can pay to Bapu.

                     Swachh  Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign by the government of India to keep the  streets,roads of the country's statutory cities and towns and its rural areas clean.The mission is bifurcated into sub-missions as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan(gramin), under Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan(urban), under Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
              The campaign was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is India's largest ever cleanliness drive with 3 million government employees, specially school and college students from all parts of India, participating in the campaign.
 
              The objectives of the Swachh Bharat are to reduce and eliminate open defecation through the construction of the individual, cluster and community toilets.The government is aiming to achieve an open -defecation free(ODF) India by 2 October 2019, the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, by constructing 12 million toilets in rural India.

                  Agrarian Crisis                 India is an agrarian country. About 85% of the country’s population directly or indirectly depend on agriculture. However, despite being the occupation of such large population, the agricultural sector is facing many problems.                The low levels of technology, lack of irrigation facilities  and less use of fertilizers are leading to the plight of farmers.         ‘SANSKARACHE MOTI MAHILANCHYA HATI’ Brahman Mahila Sanch: Speech by Aparna Ramtirthakar Aurangabad: A speech by social worker Aparna Ramtirthakar was held at Sant Eknath Rang Mandir, Cidco, Aurangabad.
