State-level Youth Festival: Prize Distribution Ceremony


Aurangabad: Prize Distribution Ceremony of State-level Youth Festival of 3 days festival was held on 30 December at the Divisional Sports Complex, Sutgirni  Chowk, Aurangabad. Classical Dances like Kuchipudi, Manipuri and Odissi and folk music performances were presented by artists. This festival was inaugurated by Vidhan Sabha President Haribhau Baagde.  It was organized by the Sports and Youth service Department. Eight divisions participated in this festival.
                 The programme of 30th December was started by Dhangar Raja dance from Pune division which continued for 6 min 32 sec. It was followed by Bhil Adivasi dance from Nashik division for 14min 16sec. It was again followed by Gaurnath dance from Mumbai division for 12min 21sec.The winners are as follows- Elocution- Ashwini Lembhe from Aurangabad(3rd), Shreyas Cinar from Nagpur(2nd), Gaurav Baviskar from Amravati(1st). Bharatnatyam- Iyer Rajlaxmi(Mumbai), Yasik Athawale(Nashik), Srushti Misal(Pune). Flute- Aditya Patil(Nashik), Ashish Ubale(Amravati), Dhawal Joshi(Kolhapur).
                 The festival was held under the guidance of deputy director Rajkumar Mahadawad and sports official Kavita Navande. While telling the importance of sports Haribhau Baagde said,” A mind is healthy when a body is healthy”. The selected winners of this festival will be able to participate in State-level Youth Festival which  will be held in Jaipur from 12 to 18  January’18.                                        /p>
