                     IRREGULAR WATER SUPPLY

Water is an important resource of nature. It is necessary for the survival of all living beings. Though there are many water related problems such as water scarcity, polluted water etc. One such problem is of the irregular water supply.  The  irregular water supply has become a critical question. Many areas receive the water only for 2-3 days out of seven days and that too only for 45 minutes or maximum one hour.  Sometimes it is just for 20-30 minutes which creates many problems in public.  When people try to contact the related officer, they try to ignore it by giving reasons such as due to electricity problem the water force is very low. In such situation people starve for water. In summer, water is necessity and so it is very difficult for people to survive without water. Sometimes contaminated water is supplied which leads to various water borne diseases  such as Jaundice, Diarrhoea, etc. In villages too we see such problems. Women have to go a long distance by walking to fetch water. We see people fighting near the well for water. This may also lead to death of anyone by felling in well, etc. In cities too people fight for water from tankers and a large amount of water is wasted there. Hence a big question arises that though the Jayakwadi dam is full of water, what might be the reason for such short supply of water?
