Education without values

                                      Education without values

Education imparts knowledge in us. It moulds our character by imparting values in us. Education creates better career opportunities and helps us to make better decisions in our life so that we can live a happy and satisfied life.
But our education system is worsening these days. It is seen that only theoretical knowledge is imparted and there is no scope for practical education and moral values. Teachers teach only for their personal benefit and hence does not inculcate the necessary values in students. Education has become only a means to earn money, name and fame. Also the Education system is getting corrupted due to certain people in politics. The system drivers themselves lack values. Though India’s literacy rate is 74.04% , it is found that some of the students even undergo criminal activities later which is a result of education without values. Students are becoming robots because they are using only their brains and not their hearts to tackle the situations.
These changes in education system are causing adverse effects on our environment and even on human beings and creating problems. Terrorism is the major effect seen. Terrorists are even educated but lack values in them. Therefore instead of using it for human welfare they are using their brains for making bombs and creating destruction of human life. They lack the feeling of patriotism. It may also lead to environmental destruction such as deforestation, etc.
Recently it was seen in the news that the CBSE papers were leaked out. It was found that it was leaked by the owners of some classes. Not just this, even the papers of the competitive exams which are meant for civil services were leaked. Hence, we can see that the education system drivers are themselves involved in the disruption of the education system. Observing these impacts, government is trying to take certain measures to ensure proper education where children are not only imparted with knowledge but also taught moral values.

Education is meaningless without character. Personality is necessary to succeed in career but character is necessary to succeed in life. A person with a good brain and a good heart definitely succeeds in his life. Thus, education should go with values only then the human life will be protected and the country will progress.
