Technology cannot replace manpower

              Technology cannot replace manpower

Technology means the application of  science in making various things. Modern age is based on technology. We witness machines for each and every work. Technology made our life comfortable by inventing machine for every work. Many industrial machines and household gadgets have made doing work easier. Transport facilities has become faster and easy. Wheel was the first invention during the stone age. Certain antibiotics have been developed for fighting diseases which have increased life expectancy. Eg. Penicillin.
One of the greatest invention of the 20th century is the smart phone. Today smart phones are seen in everybody’s hand from a small child to an old person. It has been very useful to the man. The question for technology in industrial sector arose when there was a scarcity of labour, wages were rising, for accuracy in work and when there were threats to human life in industries or factories.
Though technology has been very useful but it cannot replace manpower. Technology gives machines but these machines are driven by man himself. It can reduce time and efforts of a man but cannot replace manpower completely. Machine follows the command which the man gives him. It totally depends on the person’s skill and his mind. Nowadays robots are made for various purposes but still somewhere they lack in values and feelings. For efficiency and its productivity human mind is required. One machine can do the work of 50 ordinary men but no machine can do the work of one extraordinary man.
Technology also has some bad effects. Excess use of machines and other gadgets is harmful to human life. Eg. Though smart phones are used for various useful purposes its excess use can damage the brain. Moreover it reduces one’s ability to think and destroys his/her creativity. Production of different machines have made the work easier in industries but it leads to employment loss and thus to poverty. Many people depend on their jobs for their livelihood. Increasing vehicles has lead to pollution and thus creating many environmental disasters.

Thus despite being useful to humankind technology cannot replace manpower.
